You don't have to put up with it.
Back PainWhen we are under stress or over challenged we can go in defence mode. This defence mode or fight/flight as you may know it, creates certain physical compensations. We pull our head in and our tail bone under, just like an animal does when it is scared. If the stress or over challenging situation continues we still need to continue what we are doing… so we will put out our atlas (c1 vertebrae) so we can look up and see what we are focusing on and then we will make some other adjustment to our spine as a result. These compensations over time can cause back pain.
Not all back pain will be due to this but certainly a large proportion is. Emotional pressures and muscle tension can also cause back issues. Poor posture and your ergonomic environment are also contributing factors. The therapies I offer allow me to use specific processes to re-balance these compensations and restore normal function, re-training your neurology to function more freely. SciaticaSciatica differs from back pain (specifically lower back) as it is concentrated around the sacrum (boney area at base of spine between buttocks). The pain, and often numbness, can extend down the leg and even into the foot, sometimes causing burning or heat in the area.
Sciatica is found where the sciatic nerve is being 'pinched' due to imbalance in the muscles of the pelvis. Until this imbalance is dealt with the sciatic issue will remain. Neuro-Training has a wonderful process for balancing sciatic issues. Normally 2-3 consults are required. The techniques used are performed with clients fully clothed, they are subtle movements combined with breathing techniques and pressure points which train the brain to deal with stresses it is placing on the body in a more appropriate way. |
How natural therapy helps.Neuro-Training allows us to muscle test imbalances and find the 'pattern' of the issue. Often there are certain events or situations in our lives that create strain and tension within us. If we can learn to adapt better to these events the tension may not occur in the first place. Neuro-Training aims to find these 'events' or contexts in our lives and re-train the nervous system to adapt more appropriately for the person, allowing them to recover better.
Aromatherapy massage assists in physically manipulating the muscles improving blood and lymphatic flow and benefiting from the therapeutic properties of essential oils to release muscle tension and subtly deal with emotional stresses. Neuro-training allows the therapist to find the 'pattern' to the issue creating the tension. If your tension has persisted over time it is likely that this pattern is locked in as a compensation for somethin, it has become a habit for you to do it and your nervous system can be re-trained to find another better solution for you. Leigh - Presented with lower back pain and sciatica
"Pleasantly surprising and a wonderful experience. The treatments were non-invasive and so relaxing. I remained clothed throughout the treatments and was shown techniques during the sessions that I now use to continue the healing process. I’m amazed with the results. My lower back pain has lessened drastically and my headaches and tiredness have diminished after only 2 sessions. The lymph node blockage under my arm has reduced in size and isn’t sore anymore. I will definitely continue with more treatments." |
